If the big players are on board, then usually they are embracing the complexity involved with participating which is a barrier to entry for potential competitors.

People who knew Ukraine before this conflict knew it was a massively corrupt place, so from the start getting the truth was going to be difficult.
Because of that, any discussion of public sentiment is tough to believe.
